LISTEN MY LAND

LISTEN MY LAND
By KAGWA OFC DZONZI
Dived we fall like mad storms
Weaker than the berlin walls then
more we trust in the ‘we’ not ‘me’
Loving the ‘all’ not the ‘I’
Equality to ‘them’ not ‘you’
Riches to ‘us’ not ‘myself’
For unity is a bonded power
Better than wars of tribalism
Good than nepotism
Best than useless critism
Superses hate of regionalism
I think the ‘me’ need the ‘you’
The ‘you’ is nothing without ‘me’
The ‘we’ is equally the ‘us’ in unity
For the ‘all’ is not less than a great nation
MOUNT KANING’INA
By KAGWA OFC DZONZI
When I stand on your top, I can see the Mzuzu city
Miracuracuras is but Kaning’nina dam
From far , the small old airport across Chibanja
Ageing, fades but the Mzuzu stadium
Vendors colonizing the streets of the evergreen city
Some undressing ladies for hate of minskirts
Many are the languages my ears can tap a far
Eyes now catch children playing
Kicking soccer along the majority earth roads
Your top Kaning’ina mountain
Your bear opharned , burnt and treeless peak
Reminds me of your coldness
Shows me a dumped city
Exposes under development
Is just a separate world
